HOW YOU CAN HELP: ✅ Spend your money at small businesses, especially those owned by underrepresented entrepreneurs ✅ Share this message with your networks—word of mouth is powerful ✅ Stand together in financial solidarity to create real economic change

Is it bad form to recommend my own novel RESISTANCE WOMEN? It focuses on women, including WI native Mildred Fish Harnack, who were part of the anti-Nazi resistance in Berlin. MAGA readers accused me of criticizing DJT. I noted that if Nazi Germany reminded them of MAGA, my novel wasn’t the problem.

I’m glad to hear this. The only reason I’ve kept my Washington Post subscription was for your columns and newsletters.

How can you be sure? Maybe the tome offers the infinite knowledge of the universe, but the curse is that the reader immediately forgets everything, including the existence of the tome, as soon as they close the cover and set it aside.

Once I was asked to autograph a book that the reader's dog had gnawed on with obvious delight. After I stopped laughing, I inscribed it, "Who's a good boy?"

JD Vance was taking the photo. Or they made him ride in the cargo hold.

Absolutely. The DNC needs him, but I hope he has a capable second-in-command ready to take over here in Wisconsin if he leaves.

Exactly.

This is his plan to "reduce bureaucracy" by firing massive amounts of people from their government jobs rather arbitrarily.

I think he means you're fired from your government job...?
