Everyone who has ever had to work under a conflict-of-interest policy knows that you can't do anything that even gives the suggestion of impropriety, because that is what destroys confidence in systems, and you will always be judged based on the worst interpretation of the situation.

Meshes well with my belief that if men were the ones who got pregnant, abortion meds would be over-the-counter and next to the Tylenol at the CVS, and you'll never convince me otherwise.

If you're doing physical therapy or working with a personal trainer, ask where you're supposed to feel each movement. Sometimes you will use different muscles than you're supposed to and hurt yourself.

The absolute fucking cackle I let out at this headline

Insofar as you can manage it, avoid debt as much as humanly possible even if it’s uncomfortable. The moment you get into a get-a-credit-card-to-pay-another situation, the frog’s already boiling

This is hilarious, ngl. They are everything we said they were.

Some people seem to think that if ChatGPT use corrupts the next generation’s ability to read and think, then those of us who are older and literate will benefit more from actually having those skills. With the awareness that we live in a society, I actually don’t think this will go well for anyone

*reading PT exercises* these are baby exercises for little babies *doing PT exercises* ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow

One of the biggest problems with Canada, is this country’s obsession with cost, nickel and diming everything till everything’s trash or 4th rate. Every side does it. The result, 24 Sussex, Quebec highways, slow speed rail, boil water advisories…Canadians know the price of everything the value of etc

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: The decades-long outsourcing of domestic manufacturing to China was not an insidious Chinese conspiracy for dominance but the greedy strategy of the American ruling class to explode its profit margins by exploiting global inequality.

Yes. A big part of why so many young men are turning to destructive, amoral, misogynistic, bigoted, selfish, self-absorbed, blame-everyone-else ideologies is because that's what their dads believe in.

And furthermore: There are literally forums and chats full of the executive managers of creative professionals that swap tips on how to make their employees feel lucky just to be employed in the first place, and therefore unwilling to push for better pay and treatment. Don't fall for that shit.

Hobby Lobby has funded terrorist organizations by buying looted artifacts from them. And doesn't use barcodes because they're the mark of the beast.

The way you can tell this game is going to steal all your money is who they can afford to promote it.

One major way is better urban rail. In Europe, you can live 50km from downtown and still be part of it, because good, frequent rail connects you. Live 10km from downtown here and get used to box stores and parking lots. It’s part of why people pay such high rents - to stay part of urban life.

Someone needs to convince this man to eat a polar bear liver.

Most people do not understand how much regulation it took to stop food poisoning from being a daily cause of death. They are about to learn the hard way that you can't feed yourself from those apartment deck planters year round.

The great thing about the NDP is that the people who show up for them to work on campaigns, those who vote, really believe in positive change for ordinary people and they want to work for it. They are not cynically aligning values with the bigger parties, they have goodwill, and they care.

For context William Lyon Mackenzie King was well known for using seances for political advice and also talked with his dead talk (that he had taxidermied, so actually talk with) for advice. So, possibly true.

Good morning and Happy Pierre Poilievre Lost His Seat In Parliament Day to everyone who's celebrating! 🤣❤️🇨🇦

Such a good process. There are so many people involved counting a box of ballots (including a representative from each candidate), that the only shenanigans during the count is like determining if a vote where someone drew a dick in a single circle is a vote for the candidate or a spoiled ballot.

With all sincerity, Elections Canada is a national treasure. - Voting typically takes less than 15 minutes - We make it easy for citizens to vote, without cumbersome registration hurdles - We have every reason to trust that ballots will be counted fairly, and results reported swiftly

elon making a 69 joke on taxpayer dollars 100% makes it not only fair game but responsible journalism for reporters to ask him if what azealia banks said about his dick is true

Voted in the Canadian federal election this morning. It took all of 10 minutes this morning, including waiting for my wife to get a bill with our address up on her phone so she could vote. I appreciate how Election Canada tries to make the process as convenient as possible.

Lol I am now in my mid-40s, and have been fucking around in comics since I was 19, and BOY HOWDY have I watched this shit come home to roost at least a dozen times.
