This week has been so mentally and physically draining... And to top it off, I just heard someone say in the face of racism/sexism/ableism/etc, we should build bridges and not boundaries?? And that is such a diametrically opposite viewpoint to me and the safety and well-being of all oppressed groups

I've noticed a trend lately... Certain people just seemed to brush off being called racist or a Nazi or compared to Hitler... They aren't denying it! They just seem bored by the accusations. Like it means nothing to them. They don't care because it's true. The scoffs and eye rolls are very telling

When I read about black history, I often come across the most vile crimes committed against black people. These crimes were done by everyday people; friends, neighbors, parents. This capacity for harm and hatred is ingrained in American soil. And we are asked to forget and move on? How?? I can't.
