I've never seen a wolf be silly πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Speaking of Oscars... here's my wildly unpopular historical Oscars opinion. Are you sitting down? Got a drink? Shakespeare in Love deserved Best Picture more than Saving Private Ryan did. Not because SiL is especially great (though I remember liking it), but because SPR is seriously overrated.

I know there are far more important things going on now, but... BEST PICTURE Gonna win: The Brutalist (but likely upset by Anora) Oughta win: I’m Still Here BEST ACTOR Gonna win: Adrian Brody, The Brutalist Oughta win: Daniel Craig, Queer (of the actual nominees, I’ll go with Chalamet) (1/5)

Holy fuck. I thought I was watching a YouTube video on how to spot malignant narcissists. Trump and Vance are textbook β€” the minimizing, the reframing, the gaslighting, the outright lies. www.bbc.com/news/videos/... #TrumpZelenskyy

Ontario voters excited to learn definition of insanity

Ontario Election: Plurality of a Minority gives Ford a Majority

So. Here we go again. Ontario, what's wrong? Do you need someone to talk to?

To a degree, I feel the same way about Doug Ford voters.

Literally - all the cool kids are #onpoli voting today. You should get in on some of these fun times .

We've lost Gene Hackman. A lifetime of great performances, but my favourite is Harry Caul in The Conversation. Atypically shy and introverted role for Hackman; a largely silent performance that relies on expression and reaction more than dialogue. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlBX...

If you see this, quote with a horror movie you love.

return of the Jedi is not possible without the receipt of the Jedi

Pass it on!

The whole thing about the U.N. vote in which the U.S. (along with Russia, etc.) refused to condemn the Ukraine invasion reminds me of social-deduction games like Resistance, Avalon, etc. -- the moment when you hold a late vote and it's obvious who the bad guys are. We're playing that game now.

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the theater:

Got my cheque today. Because I am a real writer wot gets paid for it and such. (I know at least one person borrowed my book this year. So there.)

Not sure I'll be allowed back at Loon's anytime soon...

Brilliant movie idea: Rocky sequel... but it's all montage. No fights, no plot or character development, no context given. Just two straight hours of looped training montage. It's gold, baby.

Just voted. Did my duty to the Party, or one of them. Never got my voter card, though. I never even received my Ford bribe cheque. Did he already know I never had any intention to vote for him?
