Current mood: overtaken by current events.

Every once in a while time reminds you where you stand in the scheme of things.

On point Jungle Bird at Dr. Funk in San Jose.

Followed the path and was delighted by the presentation of the Kooky Trails prologue from @wondermation.bsky.social @kookytrails.bsky.social at the Further Confusion con. Still hoping to ride a Kooky Trails dark ride one day.

Saw some wildly colorful work by James Irvine Taylor. Today is last day to see them at Cushion Works Gallery in SF.

I'm trying to keep my Bluesky account mostly free from work stuff, but if you are interested in film preservation give the National Film Preservation Foundation a follow.

Tropical stop en route to home.

Christmas in Lake Havasu or as I call it the CV Wood hood.

The amazing team at the Pee-Wee Herman YouTube have made a wonderful transfer of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special available and it’s a master at his peak, my hero. youtu.be/NRvtOGLzpvE?...

Amazed to have a tome devoted to all things Knott’s Bear-y Tales in my hands. It’s even more elaborate and exciting than I imagined. So much Crumpy goodness. www.fantasy-funwheel.com/kbtp-home

36 hours in LA. Holiday lunch at Tam O’Shanter, Formosa Room for dinks, and a Wizard of Oz display at the Culver Hotel.

I don’t remember who posted this last year, but I’m eternally grateful to them for making my holidays brighter.

Getting those final Christmas touches up.

Monday morning motivation.

Tried arguing that the current $97 sale on a Meow Wolf pass granting 2025 entry to all locations plus 20% off food & gift shop would be a money saver. Had no answer for how much I’d be spending to save that money but that seems like a sour puss question.

Post a Superman.

If Six Flags/Cedar Fair still own Marvel McFey and his Caravan of Friends, they gotta get them back in the parks.

Hello, Darkness, my old friend. Friday night fun with the kiddo.

With all the talk about beloved attraction closures, I’m happy this book is coming soon. Riding this and Adventures Through Inner Space really did a number on my pre-teen brain. www.fantasy-funwheel.com/kbtp-home

May have gotten a tad ambitious making my Thanksgiving week reading pile.

Going to tell my daughter this was MuppetVision 3D.

I volunteered at the Scholastic Book Fair at my daughter’s school. Hand sold this gem to a 1st grader.

My morning choice. CONCLAVE at the Tanforan mall.

Seeing a lot of people sharing their first posts. Here is mine. Its more work related than I'd like as I plan to use Bluesky differently. When I think about things I want to post, I want to post cool stuff, slick stuff, neat stuff but most stuff I'm going to post is going to be raw stuff like this.

Ralph Chessé’s Tiny Tim marionette. Just letting folks on this platform know my priorities here.

Mini golf hole or SF Mayoral race?

I can’t stop thinking about these guys and their Sea Shanty Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station. Pizza Pals Playzone forever.

20 days ago in Orange County. The Knott’s Scary Farm Tribute Store is not messing around; the seasonal Candy Mine overlay is delightful; headed down some stairs to intimate space of The Cellar; ended day at Strong Water and while I took no pictures of the perfect interior I did pick up a souvenir.

20 days ago in LA. The Mayan Theater is phenomenal and enjoyed a Spook Show there. Also great to finally visit the LA Alamo Drafthouse.
