It's easily the best rugby product out there - not sure why it's not more promoted abroad (BBC with no articles on it nor team sheets, though I get the feeling the rugby page is run by an intern doing 20% time)

Yeah basically they love whatever they thought it was when they were young, despite it actually being poorer, and now lament a (generally better) society because they got radicalised by Twitter etc

There's something very unpatriotic about this new wave of a snarking 'patriotic' class...

Did wonder if RFK Jr and his policies would actually be one of the worst cases of actions that exacerbated preventable deaths in history? That number over the next 3.5 years, mixed with long term legacy, is going to be crazy.

What used to be "shaping the message" has become "change the message" - politics via polling and media

Media training and government lines are the death of charisma and eloquence

There was actually something like this in the Orville - everyone had a social rating and everyone could up/down vote each other - if you went super negative then you had the opportunity to tour TV shows to apologise, but if rating got worse you got executed.

Also it's a very big outlay and these aren't new games either - destined for a slow burn

Also if you have a adapter to UK socket, it makes a good temp phone stand

Isn't the risk of reoffending an issue of the penal system rather than an issue of the individual? Also given they will make a minor proportion of those in prison, you have a bigger issue of other criminals reoffending. So fix that.

Bulls sharks had more energy than this... Bit of a let down finals series this year. Wonder if they should go back to destination finals but hard to get the attendance

If it continues it feels a bit of a damp squib (especially with the rain) ending for the URC this year

After reading your book, and seeing councillor salaries, I did wonder if we had more well funded devolution that it might be a better training ground for politicians.

Wonder how many Tories will defect to up their chances

On a pure seat by seat basis, does this mean parties care more about each seat as none are safe (parties compete harder) - or do they just care less as funding and attention doesn't spread that far (bin fire results with no consistency) ?

wonder if a court could injuct payment to a foreign government? and would el salvador continue to support housing its current detainees if they weren't paid?

yeah but as long as you have countless hours of footage of a game and the power of a small country, then you dont need to keep the *checks notes* 3.5mb of data.

Sounds like a lot of good will! Now I'm thinking I can Uber (+cost)/share from work, but my car is now at work so I'll need to get a lift in before, or a lift next day, which is more favours... Too much planning, and no longer spontaneous! (This is an introvert's take, so it's exaggerated)

Also digital Comms has moved from asynchronous to synchronous (how long do you leave that teams message before you reply, Vs an email?). Digital meetings can mean more meetings, different tone of them. Both lead to you wanting to find space to yourself

The drink after work is one I often remark about in the context you used to be able to drink and drive... Need to live and work in a city, with good public transport, now for this to make sense

its going to feed the spampocalypse... its going to be way, way harder to find anything genuine when you have a continuous spam engine running. people will then just stop bothering trying to engage in the arts.

Assuming the lawyers respect the law, I assume they then resign rather than present the views of their client? Wait for their client to pull some political strings? Or if smart enough, weave through proceedings with minimal damage and minimal oversight from their client...

to 1.5D the chess.. I'm guessing they liked the idea of a fight and egged eachother on, didnt want to upset the boss... now they dont like the consequences of their actions. they probably want compliant courts, as destroying them doesnt help themselves either

my worry in here is the line on deferring to 'military opinion' and the supreme court deferring to gov.. hesgeth is totally unqualified but now becomes 'military opinion', and then they just appeal it up until they get the deference they want? wasnt the chevron overturn about removing deference?

I did wonder if it'd be a more effective weapon if it was set digitally, fed by a random number generator to a specific window. Update it every three hours or so. Logistics would collectively lose their minds.

same playbook as his department cuts? claim fraud, break everything then just say woops we can fix back the right things.. end up at 30% of the original system and claim victory. (then whack 70% of it into tax cuts, bonus is then force dems to have to say theyd raise taxes by that 70%)

netflix daredevil was good, though dare devil season 2's punisher legal case was stressful. reckon a judge would have let a scrappy lawyer outfit rush a mass mass murder case to trial within a month only for half the counsel not to turn to up the trial? :p

@samfr.bsky.social a good policy case study - how much do you slow down a policy to bring people with you, or do you move fast and sort of let the 'free market' of behaviour have an upset transient phase you just push though? Big spectrum of answer though!
