If the only thing you have to say about the plight and rights of trans men is “it will be funny when they scare cis women in the bathrooms” or “women will be unsafe now because of trans men in bathrooms, checkmate transphobes” you are not a trans ally in the slightest. There’s a deeply unfair cruelty in ME/CFS, in that the more severe you are, the less you can control the amount of PEM you get. Which means you have less power to stop further worsenings. The further down you fall in the hole, the more you struggle to find ledges to hold onto.

I saw advice to buy extra cans of food when you’re at the grocery store to donate to the food bank. I want to politely nudge you to give the money directly to food banks (or to mutual aid groups if you know of any). We can usually stretch a dollar farther than a dollar’s worth of canned goods

A) this is patently false. Many infectious diseases can and do kill “healthy” people. B) those who aren’t “healthy” matter too. Statements like this play into the assumption that disabled and vulnerable people are expendable. That only the “strong” deserve to survive. It’s eugenics.
