In the case of the NYC deputy mayors, their resignations are drawing attention to Adams' massive legal/ethical issues, and are prompting Gov Hochul to more seriously consider removing Adam's from office. Staying would do none of those things.

That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore.
They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after. [cont]

Does anyone think he will do anything good, period? He's just destroying our government, and by extension, our country.

As your constituent, I beg of you to act now against the Musk coup, vote against Kennedy/Gabbard/Patel/Vought, and OBSTRUCT in the Senate. Housing costs are secondary when the house is ON FIRE.

It's the first step. Hopefully not the last. We need Congress to stand up to Trump's disregard of the law...this is a start. Hopefully not the end.

Been a member for decades. What I notice most is the low staff turnover. People stay there for years. That right there tells me something about the wages, benefits, and how employees are treated

She is demonstrating very clearly how not to obey in advance. Do not kowtow. Do not mince words. Do not look the other way. Do not let him off the hook. Do not be silenced for the sake of his comfort and those in his circle.

I'm an Episcopalian living in the DC area. When we first moved here, we lived within walking distance of the cathedral. We even watched them put the last finial on in 1990, after 80+ years of construction. ❤️ to you in Oz!

It's the National Cathedral, chartered by Congress in 1893. It has generally been the site of big state events, like presidential funerals and memorial services, and prayer services the day after most inaugurations. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washing...

I've taken to buying greeting cards from fineartamerica.com. It seems to be kind of like Etsy but for prints and photos. I've gotten blank cards with photos of everything from Lake Baikal to sea turtles on the beach to - surprisingly - shots of my small hometown.

That would be peachy if they weren't damaging our herd immunity and thus imperiling those with compromised immune systems and/or unable to receive vaccines for whatever reason. Not to mention placing a burden on the health care system.

When we started trying, I had something like 5 first-trimester miscarriages. Plus we had difficulty conceiving in the first place. What a devastating combo! It took seven years! My kids just turned 24 and 26. I remember how apprehensive I was when I was pregnant. Sending good vibes your way.
