I’m so so sorry. I lost my best friend two years ago, and the hole she left is bottomless. And while it does get easier with time, it changes who we are at a cellular level, and we’re left with the terrible task of having to reconstruct the landscape of our lives. May her memory be a blessing. 🧡

All the movies in this thread had a profound impact on this Gen-Xer! I’ll add “Jaws” to the mix, which my jerk dad took me to see in the theater. I was six years old. WTF?? I refused to watch it again until a couple of years ago, and I was fine with all of it except that frikkin yellow floatie… 🫣🦈
