I find it quite easy to condemn modern slavery. It's bad wherever it happens, but it's swept under the carpet in the Uk and no one talks about it whilst they lecture other nations. You're comfortable living there. That's great and I guess the crime of Slavery doesn't affect you so can be ignored.

Yes, we do learn local customs and respect them. It’s not necessary to learn Arabic because business is conducted in English

Actually there are separate laws for non-Muslim foreigners. Family law, for example. And the DIFC is administered under English law

We’re expected to respect local culture. Aside from that, we’re free to live our lives without criticism

He’s not a proper reverend. I’m not even sure he’s pro-life. Just a right wing social media grifter who hangs out with Tommy Robinson and is desperate to be friends with Elon Musk

Fun fact. Retweeting such information would be considered a criminal offence in her new country of residence as it’s spreading disinformation on social media which is illegal here

Other than for UAE nationals, the healthcare system here is 100% private. It’s a requirement of all companies that they must provide full private healthcare to all their employees. So those answers she says the UK should look for from Dubai clearly involves privatising the NHS

They have very strict rules on social media usage here (including rude or offensive posts and spreading misinformation). I don’t know when she moved exactly but even some of her recent activity on X (including reposting) would potentially get her into trouble.

"They also suggest that assertions made by the Labour leader before the July general election contributed to Ms Truss losing her South West Norfolk seat".

Isn’t there some debate about whether the 22nd amendment applies to a VP pick? I’ve heard there’s an argument a two-time president can be selected as VP and then assume the office if/when the president resigns
