As with most things, it's only cringe or embarrassing if you can't embrace and own it for yourself. Fun fact, "The Town Inside Me" I've seen be adopted by the plurality/DID community. I too have developed a deep appreciation of "yo-ing" only 1 though. Oh, and here, Bridget in a Gir hoodie.

I've always been unclear as to why the medium has always been such a big sticking point. A story is a story, however you present it, it should be judged on it's own merits as a narrative free from the "false judgement" of medium.
