Excellent point

Trump's fiddle

Boat derangement syndrome

Analysis | Trump is finally giving us the recession that Biden could never deliver.

Most people now actually get their news from digital devices rather than TV (www.pewresearch.org/journalism/f...). Cable news is mostly for older folks.

Here we go again.

I take almost no pleasure in being right

CNBC: “Talking to so many CEOs, analysts, & leaders this weekend, the consensus is that this is a huge unforced error.” Tariffs causing a depression?? Wall Street is surprised?? We said this would happen, they told us we were woke, DEI hires, elites, socialists. Greed blinded them to the truth.

Most interesting thing in this exchange: Navarro claims the idiotic tariff formula was developed by CEA. But I'm hearing indirectly that CEA instead blames Navarro for creating formula. If you know actual origins, please reach out. Signal: crampell.13

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

when people say "this isn't what I voted for" they should be forced to list what they DID vote for

“isn’t he a huge business success? Doesn’t he know what he’s talking about? No, he isn’t and no he doesn’t.”

Japanese and Chinese markets are down 8% and 10% respectively. Black Friday in 1929 was -11%. Tomorrow could easily be the worst crash in American history. The worst thing? It’s 100% intentional.

The last time global markets tanked this hard, we were in the midst of a global pandemic. This time, the virus is Donald Trump.

For the facts don’t care about your feelings crowd: the economy was never this bad under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

This is not what a man who is going to reverse course says. Brace for impact. He doesn’t care about the repercussions or the American people.

Today’s crash is not to be referred to as Black Monday. It is White Boy Monday. by Karoline Leavitt

I can only imagine the bailout package they are drawing up for themselves. As the saying goes, privatize the profits, and socialize the losses.

You can smell the fear in this post.

60 Minutes found no criminal record for 75% of the Venezuelan migrants the U.S. sent to a mega-prison in El Salvador. https://cbsn.ws/4lC4Vp5

Last time he told you not "not to worry" half a million Americans died of Covid.

Nailed it!

Where is our humanity?

By the way, both women who ran for president were right. They predicted this moment would happen. Says something very disturbing about our country that many still think they’re unrealistic or dramatic, when they were and are, in fact, correct.

when you lost CNBC's MAGA host Joe Kernen ...

We've also shifted from a goods economy to a services economy.

And this is just the beginning.

Gov Tim Walz (D-MN) to CNN: "I don't know if I'm the best spokesperson to do it... after just losing an election... but what I know is the public ... they're rising up and asking their leadership to do something"

Let's repeat it for folks in the back. When Bill Clinton cut 300,000 + jobs from the federal workforce, he did it with the APPROVAL of Congress after review and a VOTE! He did NOT illegally take it upon himself to drastically slash entire agencies and programs - with NO plan for continued service.

All I’m saying is that President Harris wouldn’t have us looking at the futures market on a Sunday night.

Plan to give all of your private tax data to oligarchs. www.wired.com/story/doge-h...

As the economic news keeps coming out over the coming weeks keep one thing in mind: this is the fault of one man and didn’t need to happen.

I’m honestly quite pissed off that I pay all this money in taxes only for the US government to try very hard to destroy my livelihood, my retirement savings and that of my neighbors. I feel like a Karen. I want to talk to the manager. I want my money back. People need to be fired.

This isn’t hypothetical. Let’s look at how Trump’s steel tariffs in 2018 affected the industry. Factories closed as downstream industries—like auto and construction—faced higher costs, losing $3.5B in output. 1/

NEW: U.S. stock futures are tanking—and Trump doesn’t seem to care. The guy causing the damage doesn’t even get it. It’s like the arsonist lit the fire and is confused about the smoke. This is 100% the result of his policy and we are not in good hands.

This is really unfair to everyone who just voted for him for the racism.

1. Politically, the key thing to understand is tariff crisis is above all else a constitutional crisis. Under USA constitution, power of tariffs belongs to congress, not president.

You guys, they're not stupid They're doing propaganda When they lie through their teeth, they are doing propaganda Do you think the people behind Big Brother in 1984 were stupid? Big Brother says lots of nonsensical shit. It's called p r o p a g a n d a

Can't these people admit embarrassing mistakes like this?

Quite literally whitewashing the purpose of the Underground Railroad www.washingtonpost.com/investigatio...

Listen to the full quote and it’s completely incoherent nonsense.

Basic economics says the U.S. is more efficient in producing services (health care, education, finance, tourism, etc.) rather than most basic goods. Trade should be fair, but trade deficits mostly reflect economic reality. P.S.: I'm not an economist.
