Qantas posts a whopping $1.39bn profit as more are flying with Jetstar. Imagine how much money BA/IAG could be making now if BA hadn't back in 2000 decided to disposed of Go. It turned a profit every month that year. Instead BA wanted to "focus on what it does best by being a full service airline".

Qatar Airways is aiming for a ribbon-cutting by the end of this year on it's new at lounge at BKK's satellite terminal. This means that if your flight doesn't depart from the satellite terminal, you won't be able to use the lounge if flying a premium cabin on other oneworld carriers. ✈️ #PaxEx

Interesting nugget of info... Surinder Arora pays 2.62p a unit for a unit of water at the Renaissance Hotel which is outside the #Heathrow Airport boundary. At his Hilton Garden Inn next to Terminal 2, within the boundary, he pays Heathrow a lot more - 23.27p a unit. ✈️ #Aviation #Airports

It's so incredibly wrong that customers should have to pay more, when over so many years the pockets of shareholders have been overflowing with regular dividends. Perhaps the courts need to find those involved in this theft guilty, and take steps to claw dividends back from shareholders.

Looking forward to hearing the details of Thomas Woldbye's announcement today. Word is, the new funding will increase capacity at #Heathrow Terminals 2 & 5, reconfiguration of the airfield and improved bus connections (presumably airside between terminals). ✈️ #Aviation #PaxEx

TfL wants to double the number of Elizabeth line trains serving Heathrow Terminal 5. At present, only two Elizabeth line trains an hour arrive at and depart from the biggest and busiest of Heathrow’s terminals, which handles about 40 per cent of all airport passengers.

Qatar's Hamad International Airport #DOH has increased gate capacity by 20% with the opening of Concourse E. The latest terminal expansion has added eight new contact gates & 51,000 sq metres of space. Further development to expand Concourse D will be announced in a few weeks.
