I feel The JVL @jvl.bsky.social would appreciate this… not that he advocated it on a podcast yesterday or anything 😉

I’m in Europe, so like many I grew up hearing horror stories about war, and so I just want to say that I’m not alone in recognising that MANY Americans, such as yourself, are horrified by Trump et al. We distinguish that “the Trump government” is bad, as opposed to Americans. Sending you 🤗🙏🏻❤️

Just wondering… did any Trump crony ask VP Elon Musk if he wears a suit during his Oval Office appearance and his role in the Cabinet meeting?

Ok, almost 24 hours in and PlayStation is still down… anyone want a game of I-Spy?! Anyone….? (Cue the sound of crickets)… 😂
comment in response to post
That’s terrible. It’s unfair to #PS users, regardless of whether we purchase downloads or discs. I’d have thought once the data is fully downloaded or accessible via a disc then we don’t literally need PS Network access, except for online play? (Let’s hope Elon Musk isn’t to blame for this too lol)
comment in response to post
Now the PS Network is down, digital-only me is suddenly very envious of you as I can’t play a damn thing I’ve paid a lot of good money for on my PS5! 🫣 P.S. 40 isn’t old. It’s wise, as denoted by your very prescient post from earlier today

Me? I’ll be lucky to get even the 7 followers on the end of that whopping number! 🫣😁

Yes, Speaker Johnson really needs to get with the game already and recognise that being OPENLY corrupt is what now gets folks - usually rich white men - a Cabinet position and a place even deeper inside the inner circle of the second Trump administration.

Give it a few weeks and we’ll all unfortunately have THE pettiest bitch of all time back in the White House in the form of Donald J. Trump. Ugh!

Trump knows the media narrative changes so quickly from one story to another that he can just wait out a news cycle. Media need to stop viewing such footage as “old news” just because Trump hasn’t been before cameras that day. This matters, regardless of when such marches took place.
comment in response to post
Equally depressing: no significant media push to ask Trump, on camera, does he condemn such marches? If Trump does his usual, “I saw nothing, I know nothing”, be prepared to show him evidence via phone/iPad/laptop. Also, if no media availability today, ask Trump at the next opportunity!

Awesome leadership, Dylan! Now please decree today is Friday and we’ll forget that ever happened….
comment in response to post
With such foresight and wisdom, I hereby suggest that you should be our leader. All hail Dylan Lawhorn! 😄😉😂

Re. your reference to the need to spread ‘real news’. Looking in from afar, it seems like American media is too much opinion & not enough hard news via outlets we CAN and should trust, such as Reuters, AP, the BBC. News, diplomacy etc. should never have become for-profit entertainment.

Honestly, it’s a tough one in terms of fight or flight. I’m admittedly not even an American (British), I’ve never visited America, but almost two weeks later I still feel real, genuine pain and deep, deep angst (and, yes, anger) over the re-election of Trump.

I’m so sorry to read that and I know hugs from a stranger in England won’t help a darn thing, but here goes in the vain hope you see this and smile for even a minutae of a second… 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🙏🏻👋🏻❤️

Ohhhh Dordogne! I loved that game as it genuinely helped me get through a truly difficult time of my life. A sincere thank you 🙏🏻 for whatever parts of that you worked on.

I’m tempted to remind you you wrote that last bit once 2025 and “President Trump” arrive…
comment in response to post
…especially when needing to block out the harsh reality that one of the world’s biggest (and most ignorant!) political villains, Trump, just got re-elected. Suddenly, a lengthy battle with a Boss on God of War etc seems soooooo much more appealing!
comment in response to post
I’m wondering if their apparent bending of the knee to Trump is due to Joe and Mika living, I think, in red-state Florida? I’ve noticed, in comparison, Niccole Wallace is still vehemently anti-Trump, but she’s in either blue California or NY? Just a thought.
comment in response to post
I just read this from CNN’s Brian Stelter: ‘Veteran media critic Jeff Jarvis, a loyal “Joe” viewer, said on Threads that the meeting was a “betrayal of their colleagues, democracy, and us all. It is a disgusting show of obeisance in advance.”‘ us.cnn.com/2024/11/18/m...
comment in response to post
I think they (Mika especially) are afraid that Trump is going to go after Joe in particular and that meeting seems to have been prompted by the announcement that Matt Gaetz is Trump’s pick for AG. Since Trump won, Joe has been quieter, not as vocally anti-Trump IMO.

Is that your way of telling me you’re not a much loved former President or a wrestler-turned-actor? Dammit! Get your act together so I can brag that you follow me 😂😉
comment in response to post
He won’t. I think @jimacosta.bsky.social has long proven himself a top quality journalist, starting with the admirable way he stood up to Trump during those fiery WH press conferences. Let’s be honest, how many of us TRULY would stand our ground against a loud, bullying POTUS on live TV worldwide?
comment in response to post
Awwwww 🤗 Yes, here’s hoping “they” don’t find our secret place and come and ruin it as, I agree, it’s much nicer here.

I’d half-joked with my brother last Thursday that I’ll bet Joe and Mika are seen at Mar-a-Lago by New Year’s Eve, but clearly I was too naive as they were apparently there within 24 hours!

Joe and Mika went to meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago, agreed to reset the conversation www.mediaite.com/tv/time-for-...

Honestly, I’m not even American and may possibly never even step foot in America, but even I am struggling to watch any U.S news channels since last week. I truly don’t know how half of America is coping with this horror show.

Has this “Labour source” been living under a rock these past years as, um…. this is unashamed Boris Johnson and equally unashamed Liz Truss we are talking about?! I genuinely cannot think of anything that would make those two feel any genuine shame, let alone apologise for.

I did the math for mine too and I’m delighted to say I should be in double figures of followers by the end of the decade. 😄🫣

Ah, I should have realised the bread was part of the Last supper. Odd timing, though, considering we already had the resurrection of a repeatedly condemned “Dear Leader” thanks to a majority of your fellow Americans re-electing Trump (aagh!).

Only you, “The JVL”, would include what look to be two pieces of bread in a “glamour” shot (see the top right of the photo?) 😄 Annie Leibovitz, eat your heart out!

I foresee a future in which Trump gets so bored by *governance (again) that he arranges a real life reality style TV show in which he searches for a new First Lady. *Not that he’ll be ruling. Trump will golf while real power is shared by Elon Musk & Peter Thiel, with Trump just a figurehead.

I always remember Stephen Colbert recalling how he and his team were constantly spied on when the Late Show recorded inside Russia for a week or so in about 2017. Colbert admitted he used to even change his clothes inside a darkened wardrobe in his hotel, such was his level of paranoia.
comment in response to post
Is it terrible that, rather than be even remotely shocked, my first thought on reading your post was, ‘I wonder if Trump ever paid them?’ Obviously, it is possible/likely the alleged “call girls” were a gift from Russia as they’re always keen to get dirt (video?) that could one day prove valuable.
