The Trump 'peace' plan for #Ukraine is no such thing; it is an instrument of surrender. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Netanyahu's decades-long effort to turn pro-Israel support in America into a partisan football is showing its inevitable results: Trump is screwing Israel over to pursue talks with Iran and Bibi has no one in American politics to turn to. jewishinsider.com/2025/04/isra...

Correct. Trump is just using left wing antisemitism on campus against Jews as political cover. Would be nice if there were any powers in American politics who took Jewish safety seriously instead of using it to score points against their enemies, but that's not the times we live in.

These people always think that mob tactics can only be used against their enemies. It never occurs to them that the same tactics can be deployed against them. Do you want to live in that kind of society? I don't. But I don't accept one where only Jews are subjected to that either.

Have to disagree with the bootlicker here. I think the guy who did the arson attack against the Jewish governor is responsible for the arson attack against the Jewish governor.

SCOOP: sources tell me that the State Dept plans to eliminate its only office to counter foreign disinformation, as soon as today, delivering a win to foreign governments like Russia, Iran, and China—and the office's mostly conservative critics. www.technologyreview.com/2025/04/16/1...

If law professors are unwilling to stand up for the rule of law and the most basic principles at the core of our constitutional order as sacrosanct, there is no point in teaching constitutionalism in law schools at all.

Don't let this sort of thing become normalized. No criminal record. Married with a child. Complying with immigration bureaucracy. Agents wait outside his home. Smash his window while he calls his lawyer. Take him to an undisclosed location. This is Soviet secret police stuff. youtu.be/Bnlj-wSI4Bg

The Trump admin is operating as if unconstrained by law or courts. As @anthonylfisher.bsky.social argues, that’s different from Trump’s 1st term, which broke some rules but were constrained by others. We’ve never before seen a White House team act without concern of impeachment or criminal charges.

Once again, still, stories like this need to be written as "try to rescind," since the administration is not planning to follow any of the laws or procedures that cover what it wants to do

Today @vanhollen.senate.gov was denied entry to the same prison.

There are folks in media who have spent years being the respectable fellow travelers of the far left who claim to be horrified by an antisemite trying to light a Jewish governor on fire. Weird how they weren't horrified by the people they made excuses for who assaulted Jews the past two years.

Saying that violent antisemitism can plausibly come from the left or the right in 2025 is not equating the political power of the two. The people who waste your time with this pedantry do not care about the safety of the Jews.

Attempting to murder a Jewish politician and his family on Passover because you disagree with him in Israel is pretty much the definition of when anti-Zionism becomes antisemitism www.pennlive.com/crime/2025/0...

And given Shapiro's strident criticism of Netanyahu, this also looks like a case where high profile lies and double standards about a Jewish politician's Israel stance contributed to an unwell person trying to kill him.

So I only deserve safety in America if I support your political agenda. Neat. The Trump administration thinks the same way you do. Any thoughts on those parallels and why people like you also shouldn't be anywhere near power?

Good. We are already far down the slippery slope. Procedural extremism is unfortunately a necessary part of the tool kit now.
