Southampton are so bad that, despite being better than Manchester United tonight, they were also worse. The same could be said of Manchester United.

#tysonfury is as retired as I am. He’ll box again before the year is out.

Phew. Hate it when my snacks are seasoned with hypothetical ingredients.

Thanksgiving dinners look routinely rank. Is there an exception to this rule? I’m usually jealous of foreign celebration meals but not this one…

10 yrs on from my original Facebook post, both kids are adults, still think this is worth considering: Going on Dragon's Den. My pitch is for £100k for a 40% investment in my Xbox headphones, which emit a powerful electric shock when a child's voice exceeds a normal speaking volume. Wish me luck!

Oh dear the new series of #yellowstone isn’t very good is it? Continuing last season’s ham fisted writing, including random bit part characters extolling the virtue of the cowboy life apropos of nothing and the cowboys themselves educating one another on woke terminology.

I’m Phil. I should concentrate less on talking and entertaining my classmates; I won’t make a career out of chatting and making funny comments.

Silly I know but I’ve penned an ode- or poem if you will- to my new favourite app, bluesky. Be kind in your judgement I beseech you my liege!. lol 🪶

Unpopular opinion: #clarkson is allowed to a) #protest on behalf of people in different circumstances to himself and b) is permitted to change his mind.

Happy this place is taking off. I like #Instagram but it’s too weird; accounts with millions of followers like a millionaire who just reviews margarita pizzas, an ex body builder who gives diet tips based on his love of eggs and belief that everything else is “shit”, several fat men who say “bosh”…

Christmas has arrived at The Ivy it seems. Turkey dinner including crackers (not pictured) last night. Felt too soon.

I’m now into a proper holiday read. Richard Osman’s latest Thursday Murder Club offering, The Last Devil to Die. He’s got a real knack for bringing characters to life inside page turning, fun stories. Reckon it’ll take me a day at most!

Due to complications I’ve ended up on holiday with just my youngest (19) for a few days until my wife arrives. It’s been so nice, although I’m looking forward to her arriving, that I’ve already planned a weekend with just my eldest (21) later in the year.

I’m 82% (kindle stats) through a book I’m not particularly enjoying. Intellectually I know I should move on to a book I might like but I just can’t. Anyone else?! Btw it’s Stephen King, Insomnia.
