Now that it's available as a regular VOD release, let me share my review of Ed Burns' MILLERS IN MARRIAGE, featuring Burns, Campbell Scott, Gretchen Mol, Benjamin Bratt, Minnie Driver and others. I liked it pretty well. tremblesighwonder.com/2024/12/13/i...

Obscure YT of the day: For Peter Fonda's birthday TWO PEOPLE (1973)! Fonda is a military deserter, Lindsay Wagner a model who falls for him. Legend Robert Wise directs. vk.com/video-204997...

Guys. Bond is dead. It's a great, interesting run, up to, yes, even Craig. But Bond was Broccoli/Saltzman, then Broccoli, then relatives doing a decent job of sticking to the spirit. Amazon has NOTHING to do with what we love, and there's no reason to even pay attention now.

Obscure YT of the day: REAL HEROES (1981) a United Way video starring Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland! Orson Welles introduces it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWEf...

I've done the work, and I can confirm that while at age 14, we all thought in the U.S. the Power Station album was better than the Arcadia album, with hindsight it is clear the Arcadia album is the ultimate winner. This is official.

In case you're still wondering about the qualities of John Boorman's EXORCIST II....Zardoz has spoken! (well Brian De Palma has, in the excellent 311 page career-spanning DE PALMA ON DE PALMA, out now from Sticking Place Books (my PB publisher) Grab this!

We met some celebrities in L.A.

Confirmed: Feb 18 is the VOD premiere of Peter Bogdanovich's SQUIRRELS TO THE NUTS.

SHE'S FUNNY THAT WAY was "Well...I guess I'm glad he got to make another movie", now the SQUIRRELS TO THE NUTS cut is both different and it feels complete. It's a Peter Bogdanovich film, genuinely funny and great to see with a crowd. I'm thrilled by what I saw tonight and very happy this exists.

Within the hour...

L.A. subway is pretty nice ... and pretty empty!

Hanging at USC with Douglas Fairbanks.

Peter Bogdanovich's SQUIRRELS TO THE NUTS will be available on VOD later this month.

Microsoft is going to price gouge you by adding their genAI to your subscription without your consent, and they are not transparent about how to avoid this bullshit. Here's how to change your subscription back to "Classic" for a lower charge without Copilot: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffi...

Obscure YT of the day: Abel Ferrara's unreleased-in-the-US screwball comedy(!) THE GO-GO TALES! (No, I'm not kidding, it's a comedy) Willem Dafoe runs a strip club! Bob Hoskins, Asia Argento and Matthew Modine hang out! Essential viewing! m.ok.ru/video/256675...

A reminder Sticking Place books (my publisher) has published Englsih translations of essential French books on Brian De Palma: the career-spanning book length interview DE PALMA ON DE PALMA and the exhaustive CASUALTIES OF WAR: AN INVESTIGATION. www.thestickingplace.com/spb/
