Just one more indicator that the climate has or is about to reach an inflection point and is moving away from past generally normal/predictable ranges. Large asperities from the norm are seen when stable systems become chaotic and until a new set point is reached.

Poor technique here, the heel should never touch the paper the drop(s) preferably one large should fall directly in the circle and fill it completely. The state lab failed 15 to 20% of these samples either do to poor sample or late delivery. Proper sampling & delivery was always problematic.

I do like things char-broiled, mostly meat though, burnt ends are good. That is something I'd need a whiff of to pass proper judgement on, but from outward appetences I can't say it appears too appetizing. Through in a bunch of bacon and garlic I might choke it down.
