Pretty, but a nightmare design for those of us with short legs. I feel like there is no way I could adjust that ergonomically. But style, yes!

They filmed parts of this on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, my hometown and alma mater. I waited in line to be an extra (was not), and hung out to watch filming. That brings back so many memories, even the very 80s outfit I wore for the extras open casting call.

Genevieve Bujold was EVERYWHERE as lead actress for a time in American film. Seeing her name top of credits is of an era.

Isn’t the Christian Bale lore that his take on Bateman is inspired by Tom Cruise’s awkward and inauthentic-sounding ways? Specifically, there was a Letterman interview at the time where Cruise sounds uncannier than usual.
It’s robots all the way down, Lux.

You don’t understand the Bay Area if you think that’s all that tech people here do. Those things you’re talking about are typically part of a company’s larger tech ecosystem that includes factory automation (eg robots; AI). You’re also explaining who invents which technology to the wrong person.

And the GOP has an 1800s nostalgia for (unsafe, un-unionized, physically brutal) coal mines and factories. The truth is, most of those (GOP romanticized) jobs are already automated by my Bay Area colleagues. Expecting mass return to factory work as virtuous and patriotic is delusional. 2/2

"Harvard also must turn over all audio and video footage of protest activity from the past five years involving international students at its campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Noem wrote." They'll retroactively find A/V "evidence" of whatever they want and use to "detain" any students still here.

This is the message Noem and the US are sending to all current international students and any considering the US to study abroad: racism, hostility, threats, and terrorism. "'Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country,' Noem wrote." /
