The UK and "others" haven't attacked Iran. Its only Isreal and the US.

To a point but we are not bombing Pakistan, India, Iran or Bangladesh. 4 of the 5 most common countries for asylum in the UK.

Tell that to the mob

People dont care anyway. The number could have dropped by 95% and they would still be moaning they haven't done enough and it was too much!

Aside from Afghanistan the top asylum seekers come from Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh and Syria so yes we would. Also Afghanistan was in as much of a state before the occupation as it is now, the occupation didn't make it worse!!!

Aren't they announcing a deal tomorrow?
comment in response to

We actually havn't. All food imports have to meet current food safety standards.

The thin edge of the wedge literally being ANY deal we make with the US??? On the face of it Starmer has pulled off a pretty decent damage limitation exercise. At the end of the day there are people who will hate anything he does , which is why people are getting angry about stuff that isn't happnin

All food imported from the US has to meet current standards, this leaves the door open to an EU deal which is currently being talked about (by both sides) as being a positive one!

You could also add that people are much more likely to see a doctor in the UK because its FREE. Therefore recorded incidents are likely lower in the US!!!

So in short 5000 deaths in a population of 347 million is much MUCH more then 180 deaths in a population of 69.5 million. I appreciate there has been a spike in the UK but that still puts UK numbers no where near those stated above.

Your article is about salmonella specifically. It doesn't cover the numerous other types of food poisoning and you've offered no comparison.

Why is it deflection to point out that food poisoning cases in the US are much more prevalent than in the UK?

Why are people constantly parroting this idea that we are not focused on the EU...

If you are going to uncuple it should be done quietly and carefully to save on as much pain as possible for the population, there has been plenty of positive news to do with EU trade deals this isn't binary, it is nuanced and people need to start recognising that.

Yea well this is the real world mate were pissing off the orange man baby would only make our situation worse which id have no doubt youd be blaming Starmer for when your food bills increase even more or your morgage goes up as a direct result!

Canada has been forced into an aggressive stance with the US because of the 25% tarrifs imposed on it due to the fentanol debarcle and the whole "51st state" thing. Its not the same.

Why do people keep saying its at the expense of when all the mood music from the EU atm is that there is a very positive deal with the EU on the horizon!!!

Pretty sure "urges" means demands when it comes to China

Yea i saw that yesterday. Weird why there is an old twitter emblem there.
comment in response to

Completely ignoring the point.
Countries sending their own army with the blessings of their government is different to citizens independently deciding to fight FOR EITHER SIDE. The legality is irrelevant .
comment in response to
post
They arent turning a blind eye, they are allowing people to independently decide if they want to fight. Thats not the same as North Korea sending full on regiments into battle. They are trying to work out if China are doing the same.
comment in response to

I think the point is in the capacity in which they are there. Independently or under instruction from the state.

Hmm it does appear to be real, weird

The Trident missile targeting system uses a combination of inertial and stellar guidance, with the inertial system tracking the missile's trajectory and the stellar system correcting for errors using star sightings to maintain accuracy.

As with the other guy this stuff is easy to back up just give me the relevent source because when i search it the closest answer i van get is this...
comment in response to

The targeting systems of the trident missile system are common knowledge?
comment in response to

Im finding it mental how 2 random blokes from Scotland seem to think they know how top secret targeting systems work. None of what you are saying is common knowledge or in the public sphere!

Im not the one being outright dishonest to try to try and get a point across.
