I knew there was something wrong with "John Wick" but I couldn't put my finger on it.

At first glance, I thought you had finally decided to throw out your yellow pages collection.

By the way, do people in PPs new constituency know how little time he typically spends with the people who elected him?

Isn’t it also questionable that a rightfully elected MP must step aside to make room for someone who ran and lost and who had no local connection with constituents? Also, what back room deal was made with this MP who must step aside? It smells bad.

As academics, we always talk about the importance of interdisciplinarity, but then we punish those who are willing to take career risks and work across boundaries. I can only begin to imagine the magnitude of losses the world has experienced because of this.

In my experience, academics are merciless when it comes to reviewing the work of those who attempt to pivot out of their field. The credibility of the researchers is too often in question, rather than their track record of delivering on their ideas.

This looks like an attempt to shore up the value of their investments in the short term so that they can sell off their shares and recoup their losses.

Make it a turnkey project: contractors only get paid once the system is fully operational.
