Neither. I'm sure it didn't refer to any sources at all. It generated text based on patterns in its training data, rather than retrieving specific information from a specific source.

But there's no evidence any of that is factual. It doesn't lie or tell the truth. It just generates text until the user stops prompting it to generate text.
