Fast forward to current times: a new and chaotic administration is in office and the whole internet is hyper-fixated again to an overwhelming degree. I deleted fuckboy owned social media apps, and kept Bluesky and Reddit after heavily muting topics/words that would overwhelm my feeds with nonsense.

Re: loot, in interviews GGG mentioned they intentionally increased the drop of crafting orbs so players get into the habit of spending them, even on normals. It’s been very helpful in my first few hours.

Overall, I feel like the Ally X is the full realization of the Ally promise that I never felt Asus nailed on the first try. The ergonomics, battery life, and fan noise were clearly NOT priority then, but they definitely were on the second.

I had a fantastic time in Medellin in 2018. The whole trip was magical but walking around the nice neighborhood where our friends lived (and taught English to affluent kids) felt even more otherworldly. Don’t ask me why or how but I felt like I was in a cleaner version of a tropical Seattle. 😂
