Mulcair’s worst sin was not being a lifelong NDPer. The party will forgive a lot of things, but a failure to be loyal to the party since the cradle is not one.

The thumbnail on their channel just gave me the occasion to think that their logo looks like it might be a reference to this old poster. Would make sense with what I know about them, but also maybe just a coincidence. I don’t follow them close enough to know. Congrats to them on the success!

Obviously a lot of woke stuff is annoying and I've lost friends because I can't keep up with some peoples' expectations. But in the grand scheme of things, woke seems like a much milder issue—and a much lesser threat to the cause of conserving the liberal-democratic order—than reactionary extremism.

I have often come across a writer or social media pundit of one form or another who is like "the right has all sorts of problems — anti-intellectualism, fundamentalism, conspiracy theories, etc" and I'm nodding, but then is like "but alas, as the Democrats are woke I must still vote for Trump."
