This is especially infuriating considering they will already be (already are) using physical force and violence leading up to that point to a smaller degree. But because they lack integrity and try to play a rigged game, there's absolutely no acknowledgement or accountability of it.

We have got to realize that the path forward is stubbornly dedicating ourselves to building what we want. We have to manifest a vision and work towards it. The longer we react to them, the longer we are not doing that! That is their game.

And here's the thing - even remarking negatively on something is an investment in that thing. We've got to understand that it's not our approval they want - it's our time.

Time does not stand still. There is no such thing as neutrality. There is no such thing as stagnation when people's lives are being negatively affected. You're either contributing to the problem or contributing to the solution. Choose who and what you invest in wisely.

We've got to get serious about implications, nuance, context, repercussions, consequences... We've got to focus on developing emotional maturity and strengthening our social awareness.

Every ounce of energy you invest contributes to the future you manifest. Memes are destructive and inappropriate when it comes to subjects like this. We've been drawn so far away from reality and our own humanity.

All that time we could have been growing and strengthening our communities. All that time stolen from others who are forced to fight every day of their lives.

Strengthening egos and furthering division. Competing with one another over who's better at performing the role of 'good person' versus actually cultivating integrity and doing good. And all that time, all those resources wasted, meanwhile others are suffering.

Instead of incentivizing legitimate personal growth and emotional development, we incentivized faking for profit and striving for superficial markers of success and validation. (Social media didn't create this problem, it exacerbated an existing one.) And what has that resulted in? A house of cards.

Our time and energy is being capitalized. Not only that, our social interactions and connections to each other. What has that culminated in? Superficiality.

RIP Facebook. You died years ago and your empty rotting carcass has been turned into a grotesque marionette.

They want us to react. Our time and energy is a currency.

"The question isn't just how to resist authoritarianism, but *how to build a system resilient enough to render fascism, once and for all, a thing of the past.*"

"The challenge for us today is to recognize these warning signs for what they are and to respond with solutions that address the underlying issues - inequality, alienation, and systemic decay - rather than doubling down on control.

"The question then isn't just how to resist authoritarianism in its overt forms but how to unmask and challenge the subtler, more pervasive structures that keep us divided and powerless."

"... one that frames systemic problems as personal moral failures and reduces solidarity to social competition. These mechanisms ensure that dissatisfaction is either neutralized or redirected in ways that don't fundamentally threaten the system's underlying structure."

"Conversely, liberal democracies excel at co-opting radical movements, absorbing their energy into the system without allowing them to fundamentally challenge the status quo. At the same time, they atomize collective movements by promoting a vulgar individualist ideology -

"It's a sign that the system is failing to address the needs of its people... These are not signs of strength, but fragility - of a system teetering on the edge of its own contradictions."

There are SO many settings on here. They really give you a lot of control. I love it!

It's the same thing that therapists try to stay disciplined with and aware of when treating clients. They understand the importance of not activating someone's self-defenses because no growth happens then.

and rooted them further in their stance. Since then I've tried to advocate for listening and reasoning with people - and I think a key thing is doing this outside of the scope of politics. Take it back to the basics.

Psychology plays SUCH a crucial role in all of this. When Trump started first becoming popular, I at first was guilty of laughing at the ridiculousness until I noticed that it activated people's shame, and therefore ego and self-defenses, and therefore backfired...

This is exactly why I'm advocating for taking it back to the basics and unifying under *values* over things that divide us - party / identity politics, spreading ourselves too thin between issues that are being affected by the same root issue, etc etc..
