Have a #Godot update #Gamedev #Indiedev I’ve had great fun making a little courtyard with assets I’ve purchased from itch.io It’s making a nice PlayStation/PSX look

Similarly, is there an easy way to enable physics and what type of collision shape you want on everything in a glb file -without- having to go through all of the parts individually in #Godot

Fellow #Godot enthusiasts - if I have a glb file with -lots- of assets in them, is there an easy way to insubstantiate these into the scene without importing the entire glb file?

Quick #gamedev #Godot update, thanks to earlier advice I have solved a problem I was having getting some assets to work. Although I’ve spent most of today playing #DoomTheDarkAges I feel inspired to hit it hard tomorrow evening

#Godot Can anyone help? I’ve got some assets for a project, and when I imported them as a glb file you have to assign the textures yourself - I was easily able to assign the correct tree back to the tree bark, but you’ll see the leaves texture doesn’t cover the leaves properly

Was messing around with making my own 3D RPG using #Godot last night and was having problems with the assets (applying the textures to the meshes). Have seen some videos, I think I might sort it later

Thanks to @gamedevtv.bsky.social and @bramwilliams.co.uk for this, I really enjoyed it and look forwards to copying this project and messing around with it to get a better understanding of how #Godot works

#Gamedev Update using #Godot Have finished the course! I’m going to make a copy of this project and mess around with it

Posted by @deanhall.bsky.social on reddit, anyone using #Unity needs to take a serious look at what is going on. This is a direct threat to hundreds (thousands?) of studios and tens of thousands of indie developers with games built on Unity. www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/co...

Unreal Engine 5 is unlocking incredibly efficient methods for developers of every scale to make games that all look like that.

Hello fellow #Gamedev time for another #Godot update! We now have a variety of weapons the player can pick up, and they deal various damage depending on what is equipped

#Gamedev update using #Godot! I wasn’t feeling too much like doing much today but I did some gamedev.tv lectures, and now we have a prompt to open treasure chests and different types of loot available

for sale: cheese blocks, never eaten 🥺🥺🥺

#Gamedev update using #Godot! No scripting/coding today but you can maybe see from the images below the improvements that have been made:

why are people so attached to the narrative that trump is intentionally destroying usa? isn’t it much more likely that the guy who managed to bankrupt a casino is a senile dunning-kruger dipshit who thinks his ideas will actually work and people will love him?

This type of thinking has changed how I think about #Gamedev

#Solodev #IndieDev update using #Godot! I’ve done more of the amazing course from gamedev.tv and am having a lot of fun having decided to pursue #Gamedev as a hobby rather than viewing it as a career change

A meme I made from my twitter archive 😅 #gamedev #godot #unity #unreal

Seen on r/godot (by u/stergro), this absolutely made my day. They've made their first game using #GodotEngine for their daughter, using her drawings as levels for a platformer. www.reddit.com/r/godot/comm...

Psycho Patrol R also boosting Cruelty Squad sales

The thing I’ve noticed recently about #gamedev is there are many different ways of addressing the same problem. My hardwired brain has difficulty comprehending this sometimes #Godot #solodev

#Gamedev update using #UE5 #UnrealEngine We have a drone that shoots lasers and the lasers emit sparks on firing and contact. If they collide with player game ends. Also, the sphere pick ups move randomly and wobble like in a cartoon 😼

#Gamedev update using #UnrealEngine #UE5 Just occurred to me I’ve done 45 lectures of Ulibarri’s blueprint course in just a couple of weeks. Really enjoying it and actually working on a “proper” little game right now

I’m not making a rage game I promise! The empty void is just because it’s a prototype

For each like I get, I will do nothing. For each reskeet, I shall stay in bed a bit longer.

I see a lot of #gamedev stuff about “tutorial hell” - if I do one course about #unrealengine #UE5 (that Stephen Ulibarri blueprints one) is that enough to try and do something by myself?

Small #Gamedev #Solodev update: Really enjoying this #UE5 #UnrealEngine course from Stephen Ulibarri. Have just finished section 3 and I’ve only had this course a week! Actually start making a game soon
