"What they’re doing is systematically gutting all efforts to protect service members, and all Americans, from fraud and scams while simultaneously letting Wall Street, Big Banks and Big Tech off the hook," Emily Peterson-Cassin, corporate power director at the Demand Progress Education Fund, said.

It probably doesn’t support HDMI 2.1 which I believe is required for VRR. So possible only VRR on the console screen.

I’m a little annoyed, it makes more sense at $70. But I’m not going to waste $10 of my time making a big deal out of it.

Retire! There’s a whole bench in Illinois that wants to play!

I feel like a similar phenomenon is happening in regards to taking over Greenland.

Yeah as a practical matter I don't think this dynamic is getting enough attention. If the White House brings back Abrego Garcia, he gets to talk about what he saw and experienced. One press conference pulls back the curtain on the whole thing. They can't have that.

Never mind the hundreds of thousands lost due to Trump’s botched pandemic response.

I think it’s a choice by the publishers if they don’t want to pay for an expensive card. I don’t expect Nintendo themselves to ever use it.

Here the @brennancenter.bsky.social explains why the President fabricated a tariff authority that does not exist.
The other co-equal branches of our federal government are entrusted with the duty to stop exactly this kind of brazen abuse.
Yet they sit, watching, inert and flaccid.

Not related to the hardware, but on Friday US Customs announced that solid state storage, which includes game cards, would be exempt from the reciprocal tariffs. I believe most are made in Japan, so would not be subject to the additional 10%.

I don’t understand why people were mad about these. They’re an improvement from the games sold in a case with no card.

Thank you! Congress needs to step in and change the trade laws that Trump is abusing. Trump is declaring "economic emergencies" to levy massive tariffs.

I think it has to go to the Wii with Zelda and Wii Sports. The perfect balance for fans and casuals.
The Switch 2 definitely has the best third party lineup, and with Mario Kart is probably my second choice.

Use whatever you learned this time and apply it towards the next tariff crisis. We appreciate your work!

The maga fascists were always planning on trying to rewrite the history of this shameful, seditious event. They will try to cast a bit of doubt on the truth and fuel baseless, contradictory conspiracies.
They should start with finding out who sent the mob to the Capitol!

Intentionally causing a recession leads to more poverty, more homelessness, more crime, poorer health outcomes. Trump is doing all this for ideological reasons and to fund tax cuts for the rich.

Opting not to fight it because Republicans are in charge. To change the trade laws being abused would require overcoming a veto by Trump. I have heard there may be a simple majority process to review emergency declarations, but not sure how feasible.

Tariffs are going to drag on the economy for at least a year. Escalation with China to +125%, blanket 10% minimum on all other countries, tariffs on steel, aluminum, automobiles, soon copper, lumber, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors.
Reduce your risk on these bear market rallies.

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, DUTIES, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence..." -Article 1, Constitution
Trump is abusing emergency declarations to levy duties. Congress needs to revoke the powers being abused.

Why isn't there more talk about Trump's tariffs being a scheme for bribery and insider trading?

I agree, recession is another potential wildcard as people tend to not buy certain discretionary items like new video game consoles.

Only on the steel content. And Trump will declare it as US melted and poured steel, so it would be exempt, but he would be lying. It was made in Russia!
