ALSO it's so interesting to see — right in front of your freakin eyes — how name trends shifted throughout the generations. Or how far back a particular 'modern' sounding name actually goes. Imagining tiny baby Agneses and Bertrums. Or seeing names skipping down from grandparent to grandchild...

The best part of option 2 is when you've chosen your character names and then get to nod to their respective graves every time you walk through the churchyard.
