I'm sorry to play the cynic here, but if I was in the trenches in Ukraine, I'd feel fucking alone right now. I understand this is meant well, but so are thoughts and prayers.

DEI stands for three uncontroversial virtues that most every American accepts, and the right still turned it into a vile slur. Very good thread, but a surprise only to those that think of language as consisting of statements with a truth value. This is idea of language is the cover underneath which liberal dishonesty lives, and which populist fascists have instinctively learned to abuse.

A curious but possible connection between green transition and Trump's tariffs: both will decrease material wealth, but at the same time create jobs, which is another form of "wealth". Or welfare. At least within this system.

Katon uusimpia Star Wars elokuvia (7 eilen, tänään 8). Hot take, mutta nää on hyviä, ja etenkin woketuksen takia. En tiedä onko joku kirjottanut hyviä analyysejä. Muistan, että tykkäsin woketuksesta silloinkin kun ne tuli ulos, joskin pidin niitä karikatyyreinä. Nyt en, ja huomaan myös nyansseja.

Tässä on jotain erittäin tärkeää vastatoiminnasta. Me puhutaan demokraattisista "rakenteista", mutta loppujen lopuksi se koostuu ihmisistä jotka uskovat demokratiaan ja oikeuteen, ja jotka tekevät sen eteen töitä.
