I love me a good protest sign. :) www.meidasplus.com/p/top-15-sig...

That feeling when you discover an album that you should have discovered when it was released in the 90's but are just (blissfully) discovering in 2025. www.discogs.com/release/7463...

I honestly think that CTV should publish some of the Conservative blowback that caused this decision. I'm sure it would put their values on full display. Otherwise, it's a spineless decision by the network.

I obviously live in a city that doesn't care/can't figure out how to help the homeless in this city. High rent pushed so many people onto the street. London's entire response to the problem has been more to keep it out of public view. www.ctvnews.ca/london/artic...

Hey, I know Canadians are pissed off right now. Maybe attacking a Kentucky bourbon producer isn't the right way to show it? www.cbc.ca/news/busines...

I'm not sure what we're expecting from the province that generated the Freedom Convoy, but Angus's quote "Canadians are now looking at the Alberta Conservative movement as a nest of traitors" really should hit home. Smith has gone into business for herself.

A good song for modern times. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObOq...

I discovered the original short film I made called "insomnia". It eventually became the video for an angel on fire track called "figures of silence". This is the original video recut with an improved mix of the song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8tX...

*cough* *ahem*…..who the actual fuck refers to bullets as FREEDOM SEEDS?

I have to say, watching this Signalgate thing play out has to be one of the most entertaining games of chess I've ever watched. The Atlantic got checkmate in about four moves.

In all my political posts recently I forgot to mention that I do music! My main two projects are actually pretty apolitical. Post-rock/shoegaze project angel on fire's most recent album, "the diamond silence", out at the end of 2023. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis... #post-rock #shoegaze #music

Something that’s been bugging me lately: the framing of the Canada “51st state” rhetoric as some kind of discussion or conversation. There is no goddamned conversation, discussion, or debate about it. There are only so many words in English or French that mean “no”.

“What, the Canadians are protesting? They can’t do that. Call the cops.”

Well, isn't this quite the "whoopsie"....

After reading this, don’t tell me Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, isn’t full maple MAGA. What a sellout.

I recently saw Pierre Poilievre referred to as “Timbit Trump”, and I am quite okay with this.

I find this slightly amusing. www.ctvnews.ca/world/articl...

A burning question: with all the talk of the supposedly massive amount of fentanyl flowing from Canada to the U.S. (fact: it's a miniscule amount), where is the talk of the guns and drugs that come from the U.S. into Canada? Seems to me that would a fair discussion. Statistics would be lovely.

Further to the story of the Haskell Free Library in Stanstead, QC. According to the U.S., the reason for closing Canadian access is drugs, as usual without any evidence. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

This is sad, and some petty bullshit from the U.S. administration. www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/art...

Sorry, I just find this funny. :)

I've been reading on tourists being swept up by ICE on arrival to the U.S., and a Canadian entrepreneur who got locked up while she was re-applying for her visa. Now would be a good time for the Canadian government to issue a travel advisory to the U.S. Business is not as usual.

After my usual news reading, I can say one thing for certain: Stephen Miller is by far the most frightening character involved the U.S. government. By far. Listening to him even in an interview gives off extreme Nazi vibes.

There are nightmare stories of people being pulled out of airport lines and being dragged off to ICE Detention centres. We are witnessing the implementation of "border fascism." Beware snowbirds and backpackers, you have become the blood threat to White MAGA. My latest. substack.com/home/post/p-...

In the 1980's, struggling children in Ontario were kept in the classroom via special education classes that supported. In 2025, struggling/neurodivergent children are shunted into "alternative education", which is at its core barely regulated, barely supervised homeschooling. This is bullshit.

I just watched a video of a Pierre Poilievre speech, and I only have one question: has he ever used inflection in his voice? In fact, can research be done on whether this man has ever displayed any emotion or personality?

I've had a few U.S. friends with good knowledge of how the system works that USA annexing Canada is not a likely thing to happen. Good, but it isn't the point. Even if the U.S. can't annex us without a lengthy process, Canadians are angry because annexing Canada shouldn't even be a discussion.

It's Bandcamp Friday! My most recent release under my own name, "red sunset winter sky" draws a creative line in the sand to my previous work, with a more modern Berlin-school electronic sound. jason-m-norwood-weatnurecords.bandcamp.com/album/red-su...

I've seen so many posts on social media from average Americans cheering on a military invasion of Canada. I guess when you admire a bully, you feel it's okay to act like one as well. Maybe you guys can form your own country with the Freedom Convoy asshats here and just fuck off.

BREAKING: Mexican Cartels abandon Canada after being forced to conduct business in both English and French

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd3N...

Kirsti Noem jumps around the border line at the Haskell library calling us the "51st state". Pete Navarro says Canada has been taken over by Mexican cartels. It's like watching little kids throw what they can at a wall to see if it sticks. www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/art...

Perhaps we could get a video of Doug Ford actually ripping up the Starlink contract? I get the idea that the last time he threatened this, he just tossed the contract into a desk drawer to deal with later....

I see a lot of Americans on social media apologizing, or saying they stand with us, or cheering us on with our retaliatory tariffs. Thanks, but really what we need is for Americans to get off social media, stand up, and resist their own government. Social media complaints do screw-all to fix things.

Given what's happened over the last number of years and the chaos/self-destruction happening now, can we please NOT screw with this stuff? Last thing we need is to attempt Jurassic Park right now. www.cnn.com/2025/03/04/s...
