A crucial point: the far-right strategy is a version of what Hannah Arendt warned of. They don't care about people agreeing with their goals, they want people to feel like nothing matters, nothing is real, and that it's impossible to trust anything.

There is a program in Ventura County that enables previously incarcerated firefighters to work towards jobs with Cal Fire. It's an 18 month program that from what I've seen has been hugely successful. ARC and VTC

On a serious (pragmatic) note, cats need high places to feel safe. Provide her with an interesting (to her) place to hang out. One where she can look out the window and keep an eye on the denizens of her realm. Then she might be less inclined to hang out on the table.
