A week later, a bug in a really weird edge case shows up. turns out exactly one (1) ‘u32’ REALLY didn’t like being forced to be ‘long’ instead of ‘int’, even though the standard says they’re both 32 bits. when that specific register’s type is set to ‘uint32_t’, you get undefined behavior

cJSON is actually pretty good! I’ve used it for a few projects now and it’s easily handled generation of > 5MB json files (don’t ask)

I’ve used both, but nowadays I mostly stick to the profiles. I was looking at cheaper options, but most of the Ali hotplates heat unevenly (I’ve heard horror stories from friends about cooking off components) and I was ok paying a little more for something quality
