アメリカでの学会で聞いた、いろんなひとの話のまとめ（主観です）。もういままでのアメリカではなくなった。連邦補助金の停止で、テニュア職でも明日解雇されてもおかしくない。とくに語学系、図書館などでポストが削られている。予定されている学会開催や出張ができないかも。多様性や公平性を担当する部署が潰されている。トランプのNGワードリストなるものによる言葉狩りがはじまっていて、それに引っかかる公開情報が抹消されつつある。現状を批判すると永住権を剥奪されるかもしれない。いったいどこの国の話かと思う。

As @cpsjournal.bsky.social editor I read about 100 peer-reviews per month. A 🧵 on what makes a great review: 1.) Succinct summary of the contribution (puzzle, argument, data, evidence) 2.) State clearly in your first paragraph whether the evidence supports the argument.

And if protests aren't your jam, good news! The most effective work you can do to stop the fascist coup attempt is to talk w/ acquaintances about how fucked up & immoral this is. Then work w/ them to help your orgs, local/state gov't, employer, & others do what they can to shield ppl & fight back.
