New single from me next week….

Really loving the new album, ‘Cotton Mouth’ by The Tubs - check it out if you haven’t already! It’s been getting justifiably fabulous press and reviews!

Tonight’s cooking music. This and ‘Murmur’ still sound as fresh as the first time I heard them.

The Stone Roses early days. A five piece with Andy Couzens on guitar and Pete Garner on bass. #thestoneroses

‘Sounds’ top 30 singles December 1983. I had 8 on 7” - what about you?

Someone sent me a 1986 live recording of Bluetrain last year - I had forgotten we used to do a version of 'My Girl'! This was the debut Bluetrain gig at the White Horse in Brixton 31 May 1986, supporting the Soup Dragons. 1986 that classic indie year: indiethroughthelookingglass.com/1986-2/

Just had a great site visit! Www.thewake.uk

A nice selection of gigs at The Powerhaus in North London April 1992. I think I was at the Frank and Walters, possible (the) Verve.

This has taken me a week to collate - videos and photos from the night. Thanks again to all who came or performed! indiethroughthelookingglass.com/2025/03/02/t...

I’m in another book about The Jam! Congratulations Malcolm Wyatt and thanks so much for inviting me to be included in this fantastic collection of fans of The Jam gig memories, with a forward by Paul Weller himself! Teenage me would not have believed it! Current day me is chuffed to bits! X

Blur live audio from The Buzz Club 20 October 1990 When you drove into Aldershot, the first thing you saw was a sign ‘Aldershot – The Home Of The English Army‘. It’s amusing to hear Damon reference that at the end of the 1st song, ‘Won’t Do It’. Full: indiethroughthelookingglass.com/2025/02/27/b...

Thanks so much to the fella who gave me this on Saturday - sorry I didn't catch your name. The latest addition to my Buzz Club collection - a ticket to the Five Thirty gig in 1990 - which was actually the Buzz Club's 5th birthday! Now added here: indiethroughthelookingglass.com/2020/12/27/t...

I made a few of these to show in the Gallery on Saturday. Basically various live Buzz Club recordings with all the Buzz Club visuals I have (or should I say 'had' - more keep coming in!) More to follow..... First up - The Charlatans 13 January 1990. youtu.be/JstVK_zkjMs?...

February 1991 - We had gone to a couple of Boys Own do previously. Andy Weatherall was due to play but couldn’t , he asked Darren Emerson (Underworld) to take his place. Norman Cook was there, enjoying himself. You can read more about 1991: indiethroughthelookingglass.com/1991-2/

This is lovely….Bluetrain. It was all over so fast but I was conscious of the depth of it the whole time. So very special. The first time we’ve played live together since 1990. ❤️

Thanks so much Tim Paton for capturing these classic Buzz Club pics - Tim took so many wonderful photos for us first time around, it is particularly special to have these. Thanks Mark Sutherland who we were in conversation with just before we played with Bluetrain. ❤️
