Nice! I saw the plant once when out with the Edi Nats couple of years ago but not in flower. Wonder if I can remember where we saw it!!

Got to this bit "..the word comes from the ancient Gaelic, capull coille, ... in the 15th and 16th centuries it was spelt with a Z". I believe Z did/does not exist in Scots or Welsh Gaelic. In old Scots Z exists but is not pronounced eg Menzies = Mingies as in sing. Queenzieburn = Queenieburn etc

To me their singing is the first real harbinger of spring. I heard my first of year at new scrapes/sea wall, Musselburgh last year on 13 March.

I knew it as *shepherdâs* delight/warning! Same message though! It is pretty windy but not gale force like we had with Storm Ăowyn. Good weather to come Wednesday. Hope you are safe.

That look!! Often happens to me, concentrating on the bird in view, not âseeingâ what else is there. Looks like heâs seeing off a Chaffinch. Fab shotđ§Ą

I didnât know your dad was a wood worker, a fine thing to dođ€ I have heard of David Robinsonâs work before, so beautiful and tactile. He sounds a very quiet, peaceful man.
