Fictional Settings where a religion is irrefutably proven to be real are so interesting to me, and yet so few of them actually explore the sociological implications of what it'd be like to live in such a world. The novel Unsong, set in a world where Judaism is literally true, is a rare exception.

People who say Futaba Persona 5 is "little sister coded" don't understand that the only reason characters in the game say she and Joker are "like siblings" is so she can be the faux-incest romance option.

He's so cute. Covering Yoru with blankies and making breakfast. He's so househusband coded.

Learning that Andrew Allanson nearly majored in theology and that he reads medieval alchemy books for fun explained so much about the writing.

Oh yeah that scene got me too. Might be the best sequence in the whole game.

I think they should have put Mark in the Monologue stage during his segment, with the characters actually sitting in the audience listening to him. Would have made the parallel more apparent. At least, that is my interpretation. I could be dead wrong.

I think Mark is intended to be a mirror to Alex. Like, he's what Alex views himself as. A wise, cultured artist who can go on long philosophical tangents about his life history. The irony is that unlike Alex, Mark is actually smart, and the characters are actually interested in what he has to say.

Leveling up used to not take any time, so you'd go in the Mind Dungeon once and then be left with literally nothing to do for the rest of the days. The new version is annoying but I kinda get it.

People legit get mad when the game doesn't explain the symbolism 5 minutes into the game it's insane.

Wait so you like the original story but not the NG+ story? That's fascinating, I don't think I ever seen someone think that.

its real if you're mind believes it to be. Girl Alex and Girl Rory's models are in the game tho. There are trans readings you could do with both characters.

There's a really awesome Dragon Ball Z fight between Super Sonic and Super Shadow where they're punching each other across continents and shattering mountains with sheer speed, and it's intercut with Jim Carrey spanking himself with a giant metal fist. That's the whole movie.

With the way the original game ends (With a time loop), I'm pretty convinced that IV is diegetically a sequel and thats why it's so self-referrential.

I think the intent of this scene is that Mark is the kinda guy that Alex thinks of himself as. Mark is intelligent, successful, world-travelled, and worst of all, people actually pay attention to him when he speaks. He goes on this long tangent about spirituality and Alex just tunes it all out.
