I feel like my favorite mini-loop within survival games is this; the loop of "stock up, set out, get worn down while gathering macguffins, limp back" though that is usually offset by a sense of progression outside of that loop

this is one of THE MOST exhausting phenomenon to watch in liberal friends and family. They don't care about gotchas! They don't care about the rules and they're not even hiding it any more!!

We don't need Blue-anon shit. We need clear-eyed comprehension. Yes, absolutely celebrate the victories so far (including yesterday!) But also remember that the work continues and yesterday means little without continuing momentum. And I worry this account is basically saying "we hit 3.5%! We win!"

And you know what the talking heads seem to rarely use 'violent' to describe? The systemic destruction of families through ICE detentions and deportations. Breaking a window is framed *primarily* as violence, but taking a grandparent away from their kids or sending someone to a work camp isn't.

After further advice from The Council it turns out I was in fact having the proper emotional reaction, the situation was just that bad
