I forgot about the fate that awaits all tyrants bro

Just sent my comment in.

Call for IMMEDIATE action: LCSH is officially proposing changes from "Mexico, Gulf of" to "America, Gulf of" and "Denali" to "Mt. Mckinley": classweb.org/tentative-su... Send feedback to [email protected] by TODAY, Tuesday, February 18, to oppose these changes

Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the anti-government extremist group DOGE?

As a fun side project you can write some honest reviews of the Te$la dealerships in your area.

democrats won’t admit it, but my family’s economic outlook has gotten a LOT better since Trump took office. but what do i know? i don’t have a fancy economics degree, i’m just a regular guy who runs an airplane scrapyard

The one and only Baynard Woods with an in-depth look at how the city has reacted to David Smith’s purchase of The Sun last year:

Make your calls. Go to your town halls. Ask your state and local officials what they are doing under state and local law. Rest. Hydrate. Make soup for the hungry. Don’t let people tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Not a sprint. Not a marathon. A relay. Find your team. Thank you.

If you live in Maryland, Senators Alsobrooks and Van Hollen are holding a live town hall meeting. You can see the livestream and submit questions at the link. It's supposed to start at 7:30pm www.vanhollen.senate.gov/live

Another day of calls…another day of Senator Alsobrooks having a full voicemail box *sigh*

Also called AG Brown again for good measure

Calls to Van Hollen, Alsobrooks, Mfume, Jeffries, and Schumer done for another day. Would be nice if we didn’t have to constantly harass our representatives to push back against Nazis, but here we are.

You know, real justice is only going to be served after Trump leaves office and he gets 30 years for breaking into a Vegas hotel room with some armed buddies to get back his sports memorabilia.

Before your Super Bowl parties tomorrow - come browse and adopt some books! #Baltimore #BookSky #BookThing

Most of the world’s brightest minds are hard at work developing new ways for you to get depression from a computer

Called my Senators and Reps today. Tried the White House but their comment line is *down* 1-202-456-1111 (comment line) I invite you to keep bothering their switchboard operators because there is no other option to voice our disgust at this administration. 1-202-456-1414 (switchboard)

Oh no! We forgot to learn from history

My recent calls list…

The Senate switchboard must be getting hammered - the phone messages are glitching out and no calls are getting through. No problem getting through to the house.

I wonder if there were woke Cardassians, doomscrolling through the Dominion War

It's like Fukuyama said, if all you have is peace and prosperity people will find a way to revolt at peace and prosperity

Now that I've made peaceful revolution impossible it's time to sit back and enjoy my wealth and power with no adverse consequences

For $hits & Giggles I called Schumer’s office. You can’t leave a VM at his DC office. His NYC office has not changed their message since before the holiday break. Very reassuring.

Sen. Alsobrooks - your voicemail is full. I hope you are busy with doing something (ANYTHING) to keep our Federal Government from falling apart and that is why you can’t clear your messages.

We've blown well past "should grind Congress to a halt with every procedural tool available," and are now well into "a democracy fighting for its life would have its elected members physically occupying the floors of Congress and refusing to leave."

What has kept mass protests from erupting is that most people have stable jobs. Newly unemployed, pissed off people with plenty of time on their hands is going to be a different situation.

This

the depressing thing about what's happening and to come is how fucking unnecessary all of it was. no war forced us into this, no massive recession. bunch of bored morons pushed the "break everything" button because of the man on the tv and the people on their phone told them, and people will die.

make *them* make *you* comply; they usually can't (👇) and introducing widespread friction to these programs makes them slower and more expensive: both buying time for targeted parties, and turning these raids into terrible investments of effort, money, and energy...which even GOP voters don't want

Hey Baltimore area friends! Did you make a resolution to de-clutter your space? Need to make room for more books?? The Book Thing is open for *donations* next weekend, Saturday Jan 25 – 1:30p – 3:30p only. Give us your used books! We’ll get them into the hands of people who want them!
