#Ireland has every right to set its own tax policies, just as the US does. Companies choose Ireland not just for tax reasons but for its skilled workforce & EU access. Instead of blaming Ireland, the US should focus on fixing its own tax system rather than trying to dictate policies to other nations

€706,000,000 ,after tax, thats some profit, and they still expect price rises, standing charges etc. Price gouging at its best.

Good. now the vehicles should be sent for destruction and a 5 year driving ban imposed on the driver/owner.

It's a good thing, it will give people more opportunity/competition to the market and hopefully save people a few quid along the way.

Why is the media shying away from the fact that 11 ministers are from leinster, 1 connaught, none from ulster/northwest, 4 from the munster (open to correction). FfS. Democracy me hole. It should be a even split across all regions.

Seanad needs to be reformed to allow all citizens of "Democratic" Ireland vote. You don't stand for me or anyone else in the country (but the few) until this changes.

Christ above, they need to read the room. Enough is enough, tax upon tax, the govt could well afford to reduce its taxes on fuel.

That's not change. That is more of the same old, same old, and it is still an elite regime, elected by the few. They certainly don't speak for me or anyone else who has not been afforded the same rights to elect them.

The most undemocratic election in the country. Only the few are allowed to vote for persons who "represent" everyone.

Not particularly, when it comes to particular affiliation, I am with the lad/lady who does what they can for my local area. Currently a independent candidate. Anyway, yes, ff/fg/sf/independent, anyone who committed a crime and has been convicted, should be excluded from govt, local and general.

Need to have a law passed that anyone with a criminal record is excluded from running in any election local or government.
