I’ve been through the process and the “loyalty test” is having to answer to some version of the question “how do you adapt your instruction to a diverse student body?” Pretty basic. In all of my interviews I didn’t discuss ideology or race and focused more on disability and learning styles.

Good example of how they smuggle their fascism into the mainstream by disguising it as reasonable. “Follow the laws.” Yes, of course. Absolutely. Who could possibly argue with that. “Align with the administration” Huh? What? Insane. That makes colleges a political tool of whoever is in the WH

Bottom line is tariffs are risking our economy now on the off-chance that some crappy jobs return in order to produce more expensive but still crappy products. 3/3

If a tariff regime actually succeeds in bringing back large-scale manufacturing (big if), companies will eventually produce cheaper, lower-quality goods to meet mass-market demand, and even then, prices would still be much higher than overseas competitors. 2/3

Twist the curriculum into an easily escaped knot of lies at your own peril, fascists. There are few things more electrifying to a young mind than breaking free from the binds their elders tied in a feeble attempt to restrain the discovery of truth.

There is nothing more powerful than having to learn the truth about American history largely on your own. Schools can lie to children all they want, but once the facade crumbles, and students wake to the reality of the totality of our history, they’ll be the most hardcore critics of our sins.

“The liberal media says this is a cry for help, but the reality is, spelling SOS, is actually illegal criminal gang members making death threats to the Secretary of State”

Interesting. One weakness though is it doesn’t account for the vastly different populations of counties. LA county has nearly 10 million people. Whereas the largest red counties in CA have less than 300,000.

They lost in the “market place of ideas” (a concept they once championed) and now they want to use the federal executive to interfere in speech and dictate ideas. It’s intellectual protectionism. Conservatism and MAGA fascism can’t compete so they will punish popular ideas they hate.

He calls himself a builder, but he’s a destroyer, manufacturing disasters, then looting the ruins. He’s probably celebrating the collapse of overseas markets, blind to the fact that our fates are connected. When the system breaks, we all feel it.

Trump’s economics are dismal in the truest sense because he operates in a zero-sum world of liars, cheats, and deadbeats, where the only way to get ahead is to scam, steal, bully, and stiff everyone else. He doesn’t see others as potential partners, but as threats to be crushed.
