It's pretty telling that the second part of the "Mamdani is a danger to Jewish new yorkers" pitch is always "so vote for sexual harasser shitbag Italian Catholic Andrew Cuomo" and not "so vote for Jewish Progressive Brad Lander"

Quick reminder that the majority of Americans live in cities, "real America" is urban, and when people scream obscenities about cities they are screaming obscenities about America.

Wow, torpedo bats really were a slippery slope

I don't think these people realize how unhinged they sound screaming about how the mayor of New York's first and only responsibility is to Israel

If you live in NYC and are still undecided about whether to rank Cuomo or Mamdani, and your first question isn't, "Who do I want to be mayor when the tanks arrive?" you are doing it wrong. Yes, even if you're a Zionist (which I am, RIP my mentions).

That Boelter guy sure looks alive, heathly and unbeaten for a dude who literally shot at the cops as he escaped on Saturday AM.

Mike Lee's bullshit serves multiple purposes. In one fell swoop, he is refocusing the discourse on whether this was RW violence as opposed to what we do about RW violence; avoiding condemning right-wing violence without openly approving it; and justifying criminalization of left-wing dissent.

A conversation well worth reviewing between @olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social and @mskellymhayes.bsky.social on what the power of protest actually is and what the 3.5% rule people keep citing actually means

Authorities have reportedly captured 57-year-old Vance Boelter near his Green Isle home

It is actually my observation that normies do not give a shit about people being trans and aggressively resent any demand that they care about it. That takes effort. Nobody other than dedicated partisans gives a shit, and most people find it hard to believe anyone *else* gives a shit.

Meanwhile, in the NWSL. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

new ethical dilemma just dropped

Wait, a good guy with a gun shot at a bad guy with a gun and a random third person is dead?

To be clear: a guy named Arturo Gamboa pulled out a rifle and charged the crowd, and Arthur Folasa Ah Loo was accidentally shot by volunteers trying to bring down Gamboa. Gamboa has been booked on murder charges. There were also multiple MAGA truck attacks on protesters yesterday.

"There is a straight line from Jan 6 to the pardons to the assault on Sen. Padilla to Minnesota." A good, blunt putting-it-all-together thread here from Sen. Murphy.

So did the Red Sox leadership make some sort of bet that there's nothing they can do to permanently alienate the fan base, or what

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39-year-old Utah resident, died Saturday night after being shot during Salt Lake City’s “No Kings” protest. Police said a member of a peacekeeping team fired shots trying to contain a man pointing a rifle at demonstrators, hitting Folasa Ah Loo.

It takes 3.5% leading a mass uprising and shutting down the Capitol for weeks at a time. Waiving a bunch of signs in public parks for a single day isn't going to magically do it.

The Minnesota assassin appears to be a hate-filled right winger. So can we stop walking on eggshells about MAGA's legitimization of political violence? Yes, Republicans have also been the target of inexcusable violence, but this isn't a "both sides" issue. 1/ A🧵on the danger.

I wrote a very personal essay about two conversations—one with my father decades ago and one with a stranger a few weeks ago amid the upheaval of Trump 2.0.

This is good, @padilla.senate.gov. But an opportunity was missed. Every D should be saying all over the shows that Trump has lost the public on deportations of noncriminals, that he admitted deportations hurt economy and that he's diverting resources from dangerous criminals. @kenmartin.bsky.social

If anyone wants to politely tell Mike Lee’s staff the real political identity of this shooter, his DC office number is 202-224-5444.

mike lee’s brain fell out his ass
