he’s gonna straight adapt duke nukem to screen to be Epic Cool, when duke needs a deconstruction. the character straight up does not work in 2025 if it’s entirely played to Be Cool.

AI is useful in that it “does the thing for you” (when it works) and most of the time it’s because it’s rebadged machine learning. as we’ve seen this week, it is melting people’s brains. the only “useful” thing out of all of this is photoshop’s object detection and that’s IF it’s feeling like it.

i know “obligations” mean fuck all, and the Obama era FTC readying to block the 19bn acquisition of Meta didn’t uphold the privacy policy is long since dead, but it genuinely only took 10 years for Zuckerberg to kneecap everything.

the teens at my partner’s work use it and they’re constantly having to tell them that it’s not trustworthy. it’s incapable of not being wrong.

i’ve used it twice properly to make a couple tools. an affiliate link converter and archive stuff before our ex-job potentially wiped it. I still had to research what I needed. It still pulled in modules that didn’t exist. I ditched it immediately and just began working backwards to more success.

ChatGPT has provided nothing of value to society. GenAI has its uses, but not as whatever the fuck this is.

It’s also funny that he thinks that data centres will essentially build themselves because the robots will do it

this point has been dragged through hedges. 0.34 watts to say “hi” and then so on and so on, forever. there’s also numbers putting it at an average of 400 mil users in Feb 2025. go figure.

His vision for the next decade is so grim. “Embrace the new tools”, how about, fuck yourself? Also the very human way he puts about fucking families. This dude is barren of emotion. He has never made anything useful and has nothing to contribute. A fucking parasite.
