Now in 20th NHL season, Alex Ovechkin has missed total of 59 games. The breakdown: 15 injury absences (35 games) 6 suspensions (10 games) 3 personal (7 games) 3 illness (6 games, all COVID) 1 scratch (1 game, regular season finale of 15-16) Caps are 26-28-5 without him but 4-13-0 in last 17 w/o him

Have I mentioned I'm a Chivas fan? Their season is a great example of how coaches really do matter. Gago left mid season to coach Boca Juniors and Chivas have not looked the same since.
