By deciding to bomb Iran, Trump confirmed two facts about himself: 1) he scolds Ukraine about risking WWIII out of deep deference/sympathy for Ru, not out of caution; 2) his 2-week deadlines to Pu are a stalling tactic, again revealing deference/sympathy for Ru, not caution.

This is good news

The supposed story that Sergio Gor, the head of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, is a Russian national is not accurate. The person behind the story has recognized the error they made. You should stop sharing it.

I think people strongly support making other people make sacrifices for climate action.

This is the last thing the BBC needs

Why would Zelensky do this? www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2025...

America has poor quality titushki.

The footage of Israel's robust air defenses which the city of Kharkiv could only dream of dealing with incoming Iranian missiles is going to have far more emotional resonance among Americans than any footage from Ukraine would, but I just want to make it known I am not impressed.

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee: “Either he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

Please elaborate.

I mean, fwiw, I have not really seen much of deranged lefty BlueSky. It's kinda boring.

Because of course they did.

Glad to have heard that KyivPride celebrations happened relatively smoothly today. Freedom to be oneself is a big part of what distinguishes free countries from unfree ones.

I can't wait to hear John Miller's takes on Elon Musk's drug use.

Everyone on Twitter right now.

hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha (breath) hahahahahahaha

Russian/Ukrainian has a fantastic expression, "їбала жаба гадюку." A viper fucked a toad. It describes a conflict between two equally repulsive parties. Topical.

That’s an expression that says “you can’t PROVE that was a roofie.”

I'm sure they would love to. How?

One of the best analysts of RU politics out there, Tatyana Stanovaya, argued on Twitter that Ukraine's successful operation against RU strategic bombers will not make Putin more wary of the costs he is sustaining, but further entrench him in his determination to dismantle Ukraine's sovereignty.

Lviv has bagels! Like, actual New York-style bagels!

What a horror.

I think it is definitely possible to overstate the significance of Ukraine's remarkable success against Russia's strategic bomber force yesterday. These planes do not play much of a role in combat at the front. Instead, these planes launch missiles for terror bombing Ukrainian cities.

This, combined with a Reuters report that Iran was about to reject Trump’s previous proposal, indicates that TACO Trump has made an appearance at the Iran nuke talks and he is caving.

Unfortunately, it will do its intended job.

I mean, is he wrong?

Weird, NYT journalists don't seem to have a problem calling other country's politicians corrupt.

Fun fact: the Pope is not Catholic. Acc to @qi.com, the titles just bestowed upon Leo XIV include "Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy..."

From my understanding, 1) the Hungarian community in Zakarpattya is basically limited to Berehove District, and 2) a huge proportion of the Hungarian community has already left (enabled by Hungary handing out passports like candy) during the war bc of the bad economy.
