The "negotiations" underway are taking place to make Donald Trump feel good. There is no actual basis to expect that they will bring us closer to an end to this war.
They are not going to be detailed by making Russia more bitter, because they aren't a serious enterprise.

With all due respect to her, I don't see how Putin could be more determined in his endeavor to subjugate Ukraine. He has made it clear that he has no interest in stopping the war until Ukraine surrenders or loses its capacity for self defense.
