I know how much as a teacher in the STEM field. I know it has allowed me to buy a home for my family and provide a good life. I know that I am incredibly lucky. Any time my union goes to the mat for teacher pay, I don't demand wages for me. I demand wages for the people that make less than me.

For the second time since we bought our house, I heard an owl hooting in a tree nearby last night. It was really close or really big based on how loud and deep the hoots were. We heard a squeak not too long after and hope it got a field mouse.
