My Big Bad Toy Store pile of loot is getting a little out of hand. My plan was to ship stuff when the MAFEX Superboy finally hit. But that keeps getting pushed back, and a bunch of other stuff dropped in. Decided to cancel a few soon to hit pre-orders so that box doesn't get much bigger.

Comfort Watch: Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men Needed a some pure comedy today, so went with 2 of my all-time favorite comfort movies. No complicated plots here, just a bunch of older stars chewing scenery in the best way. Burgess Meredith steals every scene he's in.

Recent Watch: The Gorge So close to greatness. Excellent chemistry between the leads, a great 1st hour. Creature designs are creepy & awesome. Action is well done & visually stunning. But they explain too much & it deflates the excitement. A fun watch, but could have been a new classic.

I remember when fans were absolutely insulted at the idea of paying $50 for those 12" Marvel Legends. But, I guess this one has new sculpted wrinkles on the costume now or something, so...Enjoy I guess.

Recent Watch: Here Comes a New Challenger A doc about the history of Street Fighter 2. Starts with SF1, ends with a bit about SF3. Talks about movie, animated movie, toys ,etc. Thought it was quite enjoyable. Great presentation, good guest selection, some solid insights. Skimps on some stuff. 1/2

Each year, I'm more more and more disappointed there's no new Cloverfield after the Super Bowl. Regardless of my feelings on the movie, that's a point when streaming actually felt exciting.

Recent Watch: Vesper (2022) A young biohacker may hold the key to ending an oligarchies control on food in a nearly dead world. Has a great lived-in mid-to-late 90s Euro sci-fi look to it. Visually fantastic. The last few minutes feel a little too rushed, but definitely one I enjoyed.

This is off topic for me, but my friend Chad let me take pictures of a few of his map turtles. They are: Root, Twig, and Berry. These guys are tiny. Smallest of the turtles he has, but SO much braver than the larger ones. Often surprises me how adorable they are :-)
