My wife and I have done both in the last few years. Italy we did Rome-Florence-and Cinque Terre. If we had to do it again I would have spent the entire time just at the Cinque Terre towns. It was just so magical.
Greece we did the island of Paros and Athens. Both were amazing in their own right.
