Undocumented immigrants paid an effective federal income tax rate of 5.27% in 2022. That means they paid a higher effective tax rate than 5 of the richest Americans…and a higher effective tax rate than 55 mega corporations. So let me ask you: who are the real freeloaders?

Next time you see a misogynist just remind them Trump has never won an election against a man and see their brains combust into flames

Chutzpah is lying to dodge the draft and then asking the Army to celebrate your damn birthday.

He nails it.

If you have been affected by the pay wall that went into effect today for some consumers of CNN News, my recommendation for another great source of news is the Associated Press: appnews.com

Ask his hometown residents, ask his former employees, ask his former wives, then answer for me: How can a nation can elect as president the absolute worst member of its population?

How does restoring the names of people who went to war against the United States improve the lives of Americans in even the most minor of ways? www.cnn.com/2025/01/13/p...

I'm guessing the fine people of Mexico are doing this because it's the decent thing to do. What a concept. ktla.com/news/local-n...

They're at a presidential funeral. Why can't Trump shut up and just listen to the beautiful music like everyone else?

Justice served

In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding. This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.

Hard to believe, but here we are.

“At a time when our politics is poisoned by cruelty, hate and malignant narcissism—and where too many self-described Christians appear driven by grievance and self-righteous aggression—the good works of Jimmy Carter offer a necessary reminder…of humanity.” www.americaamerica.news/p/jimmy-cart...

Good morning to my kinda. people ☕️🌞

There is something much worse than a Trump presidency, for which I believe most Americans are not fully prepared. What could possibly be worse than a Trump presidency? A lame-duck Trump presidency. And if you thought he was bad before, wait until you see him without guard rails!

Myth: Texas electric rates are kept lower because Republicans keep the focus on oil production. Reality: Texas ranks first in the nation in wind power generation, and second in solar power. What are the chances of Republicans acknowledging that?

Myth: Drill, baby, drill. Reality: According to International Energy Statistics, the U.S. is producing more crude oil than ever, and more than any country ever, and has done so for the past six years in a row. What are the chances of Republicans acknowledging that?

Can someone explain to me how a transgender ban in bathrooms would be enforced? I think it would be impossible, and if you can’t enforce a law, you shouldn’t pass it.

It's easy for a self-styled Tough Guy to talk tough with low-income housing tenants or with sycophantic underlings. Not so easy to talk tough with high-ranking elected officials in other nations, eh Donnie? www.wfaa.com/article/news...

Literally......

Throughout the heated rhetoric of the immigration debate, one key fact is seldom mentioned: Multiple studies have shown crime rates among undocumented immigrants are actually lower than crime rates among American citizens.

So, yes. Some Americans ARE above the law. www.cnn.com/2024/11/25/p...

The first of many unknown pleasant occurrences over the next four years makes itself known. Gaetz relegating himself to obscurity? Karma in its purest form. www.cnn.com/2024/11/22/p...

According to the National Institute of Justice: "Every ... crime type the researchers examined followed the same general pattern. The offending rates of undocumented immigrants were consistently lower than both U.S.-born citizens and documented immigrants ..."

Now that Texans are about to include Bible lessons in public-school curriculum, gotta wonder if they’ll include the lesson about stoning all adulterers. Boy, howdy, there ain’t enough rocks in Travis County to pull that off!

“In total, undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion, or roughly $9,000 per person, in taxes in 2022, the report shows. While their incomes are usually lower, they’re less likely to claim refunds or earn tax-preferred income”
