If Palmer thinks too hard about how he can't get his yearly auto trade-in so he can go thirty over the speed limit on I-95 during rush hour, we might see something very unique happen

It was a labor of love since I started the initial short story turned novella turned novel back in 2020, and honestly well before (given my obsessions with Atlantis & Hobbes' Leviathan go back over a decade) I can't wait to share with it with you all! deepoverstock.com/feast-of-the...

I tried to take nautical cosmic horror, body horror and death cults and run them through with Gulliver's Travel's mad cap "symbol as fantasy" energy to dig deep into Hobbes & Atlantis. Ultimately, it's an adventure story about finding ourselves inside the belly of the beast and fighting our way out

"capitalism has this strange religious structure... capital has to circulate, to reproduce, to expand, to multiply... for this goal, anything can be sacrificed: up to our lives, up to nature... the true capitalist is a miser who is ready to sacrifice everything for this perverted duty": Slavoj Zizek
